New service "PostgreSQL"

    The GWDG offers PostgreSQL as a new service to it’s customers now. The GWDG already offers OracleSQL as a service for big and complex databases and MySQL appropriate for web services. Now we offer PostgreSQL to our customers. It is suitable for sophisticated statements and is especially useful in the bioinformatics and for geolocation data. Beside well known extensions like PostBIS and PostGIS there are several other extensions available. More information about the new service can be found in an article in the GWDG News 8-9/2018.
